no good

Perfect for toasted mealworms and perfect for robins, mockingbirds, etc. That don’t eat seeds.

Looks great! The top is metal so the grain looks less like wood than you might think but doesn't matter to the birds :)

The person who designed this feeder clearly has never fed a bird before. Here are the reasons. 1) the screen mesh size is wrong. It is too big for millet but too small for sunflower or peanuts. 2) the hook spins directly onto the holding rod. If the wind blows and the hook is even slightly loose, the feeder will spin until the hook unscrews from the rod and falls to the ground. 3) the bird perches are not appropriate for birds to land on and actually feed. They are too far away from the feeder. They also are just hooked into the lip of the base and have a tendency to fold up and fall out. I was able to salvage my purchase by cutting through the wire and making an appropriate hole for peanuts. I removed the perches. And I make sure that the top hook is very tightly screwed into the connecting rod. I would not recommend this feeder unless you are expecting to modify it. The wire mesh is sturdy enough and the design looks great. But that is where it stops. Complete fail on functionality.
