Boîte aux lettres Fillmore

Not a great mailbox. I can’t recommend this item. The description stated that it was 30 pounds and has a LARGE mailbox. No way. First of all, if the entire thing weighed more than 7 or 8 pounds I would be surprised ( including the box it came in.) I needed a new box as mine was damaged. I live in an HOA community so I have to purchase a box that conforms with the requirements. This looked like it would fit the bill. I guess it but it’s not a quality item. The post is basically a vinyl sheath that fits over a wooden post ( not provided) with some plastic end pieces and a very cheap metal mailbox which is not a LARGE box. It is small. I had a large mailbox previously and several decorative covers for it which essentially dwarf this new one. So if you don’t mind a small mailbox that might not last a long time this may be the one for you. Unfortunately I paid someone to install it and only saw the finished product. It’s passable. I can get my mail but it’s not something I would ever recommend to anyone.

I've used this particular mailbox on some of our new home builds, and I think that they look great!

Nicer than what you find in the big box stores.

Box arrived badly damaged and retaped. The mailbox was damaged and dented. It was also poorly welded on the upper curve. In addition, the mounting plate for the mailbox was missing from the packaging.
