It’s doing what I need it to by blocking out the light. It’s sturdy the wind has not blown it off.

Bought one for our cabin in the woods and was skeptical that it would make it through the winter (our roofline was too low to allow for rolling the awning up in bad weather). We had record breaking snowfall this winter, plus some high winds, and the awning has held up beautifully. So we purchased another for our "city home". It is nice to stay dry as we enter both homes!

I ordered the awning to place over my front porch, which is being redone by a contractor. Therefore, the auntie has not been put in place. I have, however, provided photos of the various parts of the awning. I’ve reviewed the instructions and it appears to be straightforward as far as installation once my concrete project is completed. I enjoy sitting on the front porch watching my surroundings, especially my beautiful floor garden. However, there are times when I’m unable to do so, because of rain or other inclement weather. With the addition of the awning, I will be able to sit out and enjoy a slight breeze as well as my landscape. I will update pictures once the concrete port is complete and the awning is installed. I enjoy the fact that this is a wide awning that will ensure that the porch will not be affected by the weather conditions because they will cover the entire width and length of the porch.

It's only been up a few days, but so far, so good, especially for the price. If it lasts the summer, we'll probably buy one more for another door leading from our den to the patio. Easy to use, and our contractor said it was easy to install. Overall, I recommend it.

Unfortunately, it didnt work for the planned space. The type of fabric will get burned quickly because it will be to protect a BBQ area and the awning will be too close to the grill. I think I also picked the wrong size. This one is huge. I dont believe that the awning will survive the weather here in South Florida, the heat, the rain, and the high winds during hurricane season are not for the kind of material the awning is made of. To give it a chance, I will find another spot for this. I hope it lasts a while.
