After years of contemplating what kind of pergola to get, I decided on this one. It came very well packaged in 3 boxes and included directions. This particular pergola attaches directly onto your house, so it is very sturdy and strong. I included everything needed. Assembly directions were easy enough to follow. I would recommend.

I was able to assemble most of the pieces for the structure by myself, but needed extra hands to stand it up and connect it. My husband helped when it came to the roof and hated every second of it. Youll need someone semi skinny with long arms to get the screws into the roof. If you have enough people to help lift it, assembling the roof on the ground then lifting it up to attach it would be 100x better. The back really needs to be attached to a structure. The stability of the legs themselves arent great. We are still working on our deck, but screwing the legs down to it still wouldnt provide enough stability. We just had our house rebuilt so we dont want to bolt it to it as were not sure this will be a permanent fixture. Our solution in the meantime is to stack single cinder blocks around each leg and fill them with concrete to weigh it down without needing to screw it into anything. This will hopefully provide enough stability while still allowing us to move it around to work on the deck boards and not damage our house.

Pretty happy with product overall. All the pieces were there, packaging was excellent, and it went together without much drama. I was disappointed that it was not more self supporting, if not attached to a wall, it would fall over. I reinforced the corners with home-made brackets so it could stand alone. I also attached it to a 6' cedar fence. My outdoor patio kitchen is now great, even in the wet Pacific Northwest. Good product, will serve me well with normal care. Mike and WA

Not as sturdy as I wanted. A piece was missing some drill holes. Searched all over in case I made a mistake. It was one of the A pieces. I drilled the hole myself. Attached 4x4s to keep it from blowing over or away.

I should have known that the quality would be poor since the product only has a 60 day warranty, but I didn't listen to myself... The roof is advertised as being able to support 20 inches of snow. That is demonstrably false. I ordered the roof mid-November of 2025. I installed my roof over the course of a few days in November, following all the instructions exactly. At the time, I was a little disappointed in the fit and finish, but I was willing to put up with it for the price. In January, my area received 4 inches of snow. This is not uncommon for the majority of the USA. The roof is now severely bent. I sent an email to AECOJOY and they requested photos. After sending the photos, I received the following message: We are sorry to trouble you. According to our after-sales policy, your order has exceeded the late sales period, and because of the damage caused by natural disasters, we cannot after-sales free of charge, please understand. This snow is not a "natural disaster." Their 60 day warranty shows that they know this product is low quality and the advertising stating that this roof can withstand 20 inches of snow is false. Spend your money elsewhere.
