Ottoman is very sturdy and came exactly as described. Cushion does not attach. It is simply just placed on top. I used Velcro on the bottom of cushion to attach which is working fine. moment.

Easy to assemble, but I'm a bit disappointed that there is no way to attach the cushion to the base. I think that on the first windy day, that cushion is going to sail away.
