Wasn’t too hard to install if you have the right tools for a brick house. Hubby needed an excuse to get a new hammer drill. We tried to get a contractor to install but it was too hard to get a call back. After a month we just installed ourselves. It is great, right now the dogs get to enjoy it but once we get the deck fixed we will be enjoying more.

I don't know how we have lived without this for so long. Especially my husband. The temps are in the nineties right now in Michigan. The dark stain on our pool deck makes it hard to walk on right now. This awning perfectly solves that problem. It is a great size to shade the main portion of our deck. It goes across our entire patio door plus a little extra on each side. The crank out action is very smooth because there are springs and anyone can do it. It is a little less easy to crank it back in but not difficult at all The awning is of good quality, thick material. We have the blue with white trim that adds the perfect pop of color to our gray/black deck. We did not attach it to concrete. Rather we found studs in the wall and attached it to our siding. This is adjustable. It can be cranked out part way or extended to it's full length as needed. When it is extended all the way it is not completely taut. It droops just a bit. You definitely need a little knowledge, tools and two people to install this. This awning is a life saver! It will even make the house cooler on the inside. A little rain will be okay too because it is a waterproof material. It looks great open or closed too.
