Great planter looks very nice. Only negative was that it was a delayed delivery. But that was not a huge inconvenience this time - probably won’t put it to use until next Spring.

These whiskey barrel planters are great. Our family has had three more just like them for 16 years. One is used as a small water feature with a bamboo fountain and the other two as traditional planters. Because of the size and material the soil does not dry out too quickly. For these two new ones, I've converted them into self-watering planters using sturdy 22 inch saucers and 1/2 inch solid-braid nylon rope for wicking the water up into the soil. It works really well and we're pleased.

These planters are well made and I am hoping that they will be able to handle the hot California sun. They are nice and large.

I filled this with flowers and it is a beautiful outside piece

It is beautiful right out of the box. Very realistic but also a good weight. I don't think they'll blow away. I hope to put something in the bottom to set potted plants on rather than filling this with soil. Note: The drain holes must be punched out, though if you were using it for ice or something where standing water isn't a problem, no need to do anything.
