Two pre-drilled holes, so it has to fit exactly where their holes are. Instructions are basic and not clear. Wouldn't allow a return for full refund, offered 20% and you have to pay for return shipping. If they had been clear on the limited install options, I would not have ordered.

The umbrella itself is nice. Operating it up and down is a little difficult. The installation hardware provided is not appropriate for installation. I’m not even sure how it would work in any installation (Wood post siding Hardi plank) The instructions are very ineffective. I’ll be interested to see how it holds up over time.

The instructions were a joke. It’s easy to install once you understand how it works. Careful with the bottom bolt. You must use the one provided for the bottom or the unit will not fold up all they way.

TLDR; great value for money and would buy again but could use a couple improvements. Only came with expansion bolts. I was affixing to wood fence post so just used my own screws with a washer. This worked fine for the top hole but for the bottom hole it’s in the way of the handle assembly and anything protruding doesn’t let it slide down all the way. Ended up just drilling a new hole further down below the handle assembly and it worked fine. Overall pretty decent so far, can’t beat the price even if I have to replace every couple seasons. I do find the swivel mechanism a bit finicky - it’s hard to engage the button / jams up and you have to wiggle it a bit to engage it sometimes; bit of a pain as my design requires me to swivel it any time I’m opening it. Would benefit from a better mechanism. Get what you pay for though ;)

The umbrella is nice if u want to mount it to a wall. When I purchased this umbrella I didn’t notice that it was a wall mount. I have a deck, but after trying to see if it would work I discovered that the trigger to slide to open was not working. Customer service was excellent to work with and was very helpful with my issues. Yes, I will be purchasing from Wayfair again.
