The arms have wood on them which is not treated and will be damaged if left outside. Fairly comfortable.

I am very happy with this chair. It is very sturdy and there is no creaking and wobbling when I sit in it. Reclining it while sitting in it is very easy and smooth. My last chair took a fair amount of energy and I was always afraid I was going to flip over when I reclined it. It also has a shade that can be used or not used which I found I really liked when I was reading outside and when I had just had enough sun in general. It folds up easily and doesnt take up a lot of space when it isnt being used so I would recommend this for anyone who spends any amount of time outside

I got 2 for my son and his room mate. They really like them but they don't fully recline in the space of their balcony. He says they're very comfortable.

I like the chair. Only problem is that the finish on the wooden arms wore off in one season and needs repair. I had a plastic cover over the chair for the winter.
