Very sturdy and held up when the winds were high.

This is a really nice umbrella base by Arlmont & Co.! It is heavy and has adjustable rings for the varying widths that umbrella poles may have. It was very simple to assemble. One screw from the bottom of the base into the stand post and you are all set to insert your umbrella. I choose the woodgrain design and it is pleasantly attractive. The day after I set it up, we had 30 MPH winds. The umbrella was closed and the stand held its own and stayed in place. At nearly 37 pounds it provides good stability. I like that it is square. It fits perfectly where our concrete is at a right angle against the yard. I am quite pleased with the quality of this umbrella base and am just as pleased to have it in place before the summer rush. We live in the South and it is nearly pool season again!

This base is exactly what youll need if you live in a high wind statearea! Very sturdy with just enough weight to keep your umbrella off the ground, unless you place it there yourself. It was super easy to put to together and the attachingplacement of the pole is the best Ive experienced. This is a very highly recommended item.
