The construction looks like it will hold up well. The crank works smoothly and the auto tilt is a plus. The lights are a yellow/orange which should keep the bugs away. The ties that wrap around the folded umbrella are a bit short and hard to tie, so I fastened a plastic buckle to the ties. Overall we are very pleased with the product.
