Have only had this a few weeks and we are diligent about closing it when too windy, at night, etc. However the manual crank is almost impossible to turn and it feels like it is going to break very quickly, something in the internal mechanism must be caught or out of alignment. It’s a shame because it’s very pretty, decent quality fabric, but for the price we expected better. Not WAYFAIR fault, but the manufacturer is not a lot of help in terms of if we can fix it, only way to reach out is via email and they appear to be in France. Also, if you use the provided base, be absolutely sure of placement as it is appropriately extremely heavy when filled with sand water mix to accommodate the size of the umbrella and not on wheels.

Huge but sturdy, can be overwhelming to move it around if you’re a little guy bland you’ll want enough clearance. Assembly was easy.
