It didn't come with any instructions to assemble, but it was super easy to do. It was really hard to find a chair stand in a color other than black -- we were setting up the chair in a nursery so we wanted to find something that looked a little less front porch. This fits the bill. So far after a couple weeks it is holding the chair well and I appreciated that it came with the spring and hook for attaching the chair - no additional hardware needed.
