The idea of a sun sail is great. Unfortunately, when you have a narrow patio that requires a triangle shape this particular dimension does not provide enough shade. One really needs a larger size and a treepost to help extend.

Obviously you’ll need to buy some 18” wire rope and fittings (ferrules, clamps, etc.). I knew this going in, but setup was easy enough. It just so happened that Houston experienced heavy wind and rain for over a week right after installation. So far it has weathered the elements well.
