Update July 2026: When the cover is installed as shown in the pictures it pretty much functions as a sail and any breeze over about 5 KM/hr will pull at the cover and tear the ties off. Within 2 weeks I'd had to put in grommets and use the ties that way. This year I figured out that you have to install the shade over/under/over/under/over through the top bars. This way you can still adjust the cover, but when the wind blows, the two bars that are under the cover keep it in place. Installed this way the cover has handled gusts up to 40 KM. This year I need to replace it, as the hand done grommets haven't held up well. The pergola is still great, but reducing the stars to 3 due to the ties on the cover. Ideally the cover should be made with grommets. Ties sewn into the seams are not robust enough. This way Installed this last night with help from friends. At one point its good to have three pairs of hands! It looks amazing and my friends were impressed with it. It would have 5 stars, but bolts to attach to the deck weren't included, so there was an emergency run to the hardware store just before closing. It should be easy to take down the cover when necessary (big storm) - hopefully doable by one person. Will update if it's not. So far, very happy with the purchase.

Will definitely serve our purpose - too 5 hours to assemble because the instructions were not that clear - had to rely on intuition.

Am not sure why they're saying it's a steel pergola. This is broken from the onset it fell down. Some of the holes were widen.

The packages is nice but was damage. I didnt send it back because I didnt want to wait for another one.
