The problem is in the reading. The listing did say metal and it is. The listing showed the finals and they are there. The problem is that the rounds are solid, but the square frames are hollow poor quality white metal painted black. One would expect that if the Square posts were real metal, cast iron or otherwise, the finials would screw in and be solid, but no they at glued on and do break off easily. As long as you do not touch it, the trellis is likely to work. Time will tell - not impressed.

Flimsy. Overpriced.
