Love the look!! Going to look great on our cupola. The balls feel plastic but that’s probably a good thing where weather is concerned. Overall it’s heavy and sturdy. Also purchased the lacquer to protect it. Only complaint is there’s no instructions or hardware provided to secure the weathervane to your cupola or roof. Not hard to figure out how to put together, but some bolts or screws or something to secure it would have been nice. UPDATE: hard to keep secured to the cupola the way the bottom is made. We have it bolted in but twice within a year now we’ve had to climb back on the roof because severe storms have knocked it over since its hinged with only two “flaps” of metal. That part of the design needs improvement. Again, no instructions or hardware included.
