Beautiful

The size of this weargervane is very generous, so it can be seen easily from afar. It is very heavy, which I liked. However, the materials it is made out of left much to be desired. There are sharp points around the eagle, which pricked my fingers and made it difficult to handle. There is constant banging inside the eagle I guess from bad soldering or loose scraps, which I found very annoying. The instructions were limited and poorly given, and I was disappointed to find out the mount is sold separately and did not come with the weathervane. Even though it was brand new, some areas around the eagle and arrow were rusted off in some places and made it less attractive. After I assembled it, it seemed the parts fit too loosely, and I thought the picture on the box looked better. I also thought it strange that the eagle and some of the arrow was in copper but the directions for north, west, east, and south were done in a dull unappealing gold material that did not complement each other. Good Directions Cooper Roof-Mount Eagle Weathervane is awesome! My husband assembled it easily. Pay careful attention to the arrow feathers, they are very sharp. The weathervane is a top quality product. It did not come with a roof mount; however we ordered one online but haven't attached it to our outback shed. Right now my husband has it bolted to an outdoor table. I am very pleased with this weathervane! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I couldn't wait to get this. It looked so nice. I was kind of disappointed by it's appearance. It doesn't look like the picture shows. Instead of it being all the copper color, like it shows, it has a silver/gray metal color all around it where they soldered it together. The arrow has something leaked all over it and it is crusted all over. I informed them of all of this and was told this is all normal. I gave it 2 stars because I guess it is still functionable.
