It seems to be well made and is as described. However, even in bright sunlight, it does not sparkle or shine very much. Looks black and dark blue for the most part, especially from a distance. You have to be almost on top of it to discern the lighter shades of blue and even then there is very little sparkle or shine. Very disappointed. Will most likely be returning it.

This is very pretty! I had an extra base for a birdbath, so set the globe on top of it. It's hard to see in the photo, but it shines little points of light on the fence when it is sunny, a nice effect. I put it inside for the winter as we have snow and freezing weather.

Lovely colors in this gazing garden globe. I order the spiral iron stand from Wayfair. They look nice together. Colors are even more vivid, shiny with morning sun, but I like it in the shade as photo.
