It is VERY IMPORTANT to know that the length from floor to seat of this bench is NOT adjustable to be any less than 8 feet without modifications that you must figure out on your own. The description states: ""Includes 8 ft black marine-grade rope and a 16" extension chain kit for two-point hanging, offering flexible mounting options."" The only thing "flexible" about the mounting is that it can be 8 foot long or MORE, NOT LESS. For the price of this swing, plus the price of the professional Wayfair installation, I should not have had to work with my installer for 20 minutes trying to figure out how to make the swing be higher than 1 foot off the ground. He told me to call Wayfair, which was a joke in waiting for a response, so I tried the Chat (AI agent), which only responded to me 20-30 minutes after I input my order number. By that time, my installer had already left from waiting too long - this was also after he suggested that I "cut the ropes" to bring it to a decent height above the ground. To get this swing to be approximately 15-16" off the ground, I looped each rope in half, looped them to the metal clip at end of the chain, then hung the 16" chain. This however now has the swing at 24" off the ground, which is still too high, so I now need to buy additional chain or metal clips at the hardware store to link to the original chain. Considering the price of this piece, the fix is for Wayfair to specifically state in the description that the length of the rope is not adjustable.
