Chaise longue Headly

After saving up for these very expensive teak, chaise lounge chairs, I was very excited to order two of them. WARNING: Do NOT purchase this unless you are willing to pay for extra insurance. (I still ask myself why anyone should have to pay more just so a reputable company will back up its products in case something happens. I'm not talking about 6 months to a year out either! A crazy time we live in!)  After my husband assembled the chairs, I went out a few days later to admire them closely, but was shocked to discover that both loungers arrived damaged. Each leg had cracked wood (with varying degrees of damage, and not near any screws). One chair also had a crack in the wood in the arm rest area.   Additionally, now that we have had some rain (NC has been in a drought!), even though we protected them with a cover, they have unusual water damage marks. Looking back at the original pictures I took documenting the wood cracking damage, I can see that the wood appears to look at bit strange. It's in the same location where the unusual water damage is.  Again, WARNING: This is an expensive item and no one should ever have to deal with any of these issues at any time.  I am still waiting on Wayfair to resolve this issue for me. So far, I've had to go up the chain twice. 

Lounge was easy to assemble, looks great , the cushions is very comfortable it’s not thin . It looks beautiful by my pool and it’s very easy to move around .

I would give 4 stars because the product is solid and comfortable and looks great. I ordered 2. One had a large crack running down the area where the back moveable seat joins the frame. This is a stress area so mechanically unsound. Perigold is sending a replacement part so that is acceptable. However, the holes for the bolts on both units were misaligned making them impossible to assemble without making an adjustment (cutting one small section of wood in order to shift the rails a quarter inch to accommodate the bolts.) Luckily I was able to figure this out and make the cut. Otherwise I would have had to send everything back.

My order arrived fast. These chaise lounge seats are beautiful and as shown in pictures. The cushions are sturdy yet comfortable. Very beautiful. Can’t speak on durability as we just received them but with a little maintenance-it should keep well. Update: Oct 14th - we noticed a crack on the back base of the chairs. It’s unfortunate because we had not yet used them and when adjusting the back rest. We realized there’s a deep crack that’s runs along the entire base.
