Not that easy to assemble. The directions are not clear. But works just fine and as expected once assembled.

How do I go about returning. I dont need it. It was actually to big for the pool.

The ladder came in a box and was in perfect condition and packaged well. I only needed a screw driver to assemble it. I was able to do it myself in about 30 min. I do want to add that the instructions have both the 53 in and 48 in pool ladders. The 48 in will only have 3 steps on each side of ladder. I was struggling with this part until I looked back and realized it was only 3 steps. This ladder is very stable and is easy to remove and place the steps going into ladder. This makes a very good safety measure. The ladder is not to heavy to be able to remove entirely as well. I am glad I bought this ladder as it perfect for our needs.
