So far this appears that it will do the job. I ordered it to go under our charcoal Weber grill. It’s been too cold to actually barbecue, so I have not yet used the grill with this fire retardant pad underneath. It seems like it’s the appropriate size and will do the job.

We are so thankful for this fireproof mat. For many years we put the fire pit up on bricks but our yard still got scorched. We never put it on the patio fearing it would damage the cement. Now we can protect and use our fire pit on the patio - and no more burnt grass. It’s lightweight, easy to store and can be hosed off to clean.

Works well for small fire pit that also has a cover screen on top. A larger circle may be needed if not. Protects from heat at the bottom and is good thickness. I feel it will protect the grass or stone from the fire pit heat.
