This umbrella stand is horrible. I purchased it with wheels for pool side deck, so that it would be heavy enough to withstand wind but most important that it have 2 wheels, so it could be easy by one person, to move, depending on the sun. The wheel are absolutely USELESS. IF YOU tilt it at all to move, the stand seriously scrapes your porcelain or stone decking. Good luck moving this 113 POUND STAND BENT OVER unless you have two strong men. Can’t even get your fingers below the stand to lift. AND THEY HAVE A SIGN ON STAND THAT IF YOU TILT THE BASE WITH ITS POLE, IT VOIDS THE WARRANTY. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS. HORRIBLE. PRODUCT.

Now this is a heavy umbrella base! Someone said “get the heaviest one you can find”. My husband was not happy with me but that umbrella does not move in this base! I’m not sure how easy the wheels are for transport because I wouldn’t be able to tilt this thing back to use them (on one side). I was more concerned with the umbrella being blown over and it addresses that concern very nicely, it’ll never happen.

This was an amazing purchase. I bought two of these and they are the most heavy, unmoveable, stable, neatly designed stands….which makes them perfect. I live on the side of a mountain and regularly get 40 to 60 mph winds….and these stands do not flinch. Plus…I bought two for roughly HALF the price of one (same item, same mfr) at a patio specialty seller. These are far and away the best umbrella stands I have ever owned.

This is a nice sturdy stand. So far it has held up in strong winds where other stands toppled .
