The frame is actually pretty nice and feels sturdy once it’s put together. Mine arrived with a few scratches and a couple of slightly bent pieces from shipping, but I didn’t feel like dealing with a return for such a large item. The biggest downside is the canopy fabric. It seems pretty weak. After one windy day, the fabric separated from the frame where it was attached. I ended up removing the original canopy and ordering a shade cloth instead. Overall, I’m happy with the frame, but the canopy definitely needs to be more durable.

This is overall a nice purchase. We did get a defective piece that had a large cut in the pole, but Wayfair was quick to send a new one. The canopy itself is not well thought out. There’s no way you can just throw it over the top and expect it to stay. We have weaved it through the slats as well as made a few modifications that makes it more functional. Sturdy, but it doesn’t seem like the type of pergola that will last for a significant time. The rain does pool on top of the canopy, so take in consideration how much time and effort you want to put into fiddling with this canopy each day.

It’s kinda hard to see, but hubby I just put our pergola up, today. We didn’t put the covering on it yet. As I knew that this style Pergola was pretty “basic”, but was hoping it would be strong enough to leave it set up, on a regular basis. The “awning”fabric part only has 4 fabric tie downs, that will rip out with the first major wind. I’m creative and plan to add some cording, over the fabric and tie it to the metal frame, which will still allow it to move so we can lengthen the side parts as a shade as the sun gets higher in the sky the UV rays get stronger. We will keep it modify as needed.

Easy installation. It took about one hour for two people to put it up. And it looks nice. The curtains are not so good for windy weather though.

Beautiful, it will be enjoyed for years to come.
