Station météo numérique Wi-Fi

This unit will NOT stay connected to WiFi. I actually have 2 of these now because when I called La Crosse and told them what it was doing, they immediately sent me a new one and told me to keep the original. The original (purchased here) would connect to my home WiFi but wouldn't stay connected very long. We have excellent latest generation WiFi with excellent coverage to all devices throughout the house - so WiFi signal strength is absolutely not the problem and I'm pretty computer savvy so I'm positive I'm doing it correctly. The second replacement device will not hook to WiFi at all. We tried both the hot-spot access point method and the WPS method. The device works OK if you are satisfied with a standalone system that does not have the advantages of internet connection (no future forecasts, no automatic setting of the clock, and no remote monitoring using the phone app. Since La Crosse sent a replacement, I have two standalone units for the price of one WiFi unit, so they tried to be fair. Therefore I don't plan to go through the hassle of returning it. Bottom line - if you want a WiFi enabled unit DON'T BUY THIS ONE. I suspect they have some kind of quality issue with their WiFi chip.

This unit has all the features that I wanted. It arrived in great shape. During setup I realized that the Wi-Fi connection was quite limited because I couldn't get it to connect to my router. Otherwise, nice weather reporting station.
