Was crossing my fingers on this one. Aware of some negative reviews, I tried these in black. The size, shape and overall look is nice, but the texture and look of the finish is really bad - more like an undercoating. Comes with a warning paper inside that pretty much says it’s not for good for outdoors. Would have returned but hisband already took away boxes. I’ll paint base and seal the wooden top.

Please DON’T BUY it. The lid developed black mold on it with little bit of rain falling in it. The side table is supposed to be for outdoor use but within 3 months of use under a covered screened porch, the wood lids started to mold and is completely useless now.

For $255 I was disappointed with the quality. The lids are made of a really cheap wood, one came with a water stain line, and the edges aren’t even sanded. We knew from reading other reviews that we’d have to seal them as these “outdoor” tables don’t come ready for the outdoors, but I did not expect them to come with lids poorly fitting the bases. They were not the same circumference and one didn't lay flat creating a gap to the interior which kind of defeats the purpose of an outdoor storage table which is to protect the interior from the elements. The only options for return are a replacement (which I don’t have high hopes for), return where I cover shipping fees (seeing that these babies are heavy I’d prob lose a decent chunk of change), or a 10% discount to keep the item. So $27 later, we are going to have to make our own lids. Not what I was hoping for, but such is life sometimes. They are large, and should hold our patio furniture covers just fine, just wish the price reflected their quality better. IMO, not worth the $255.

Nice side tables for my deck. Color and size as expected. The lids are a little flimsy, and lacking a solid wood feel. I was hoping to use the tables to store cushions but I doubt the lids are water tight. Regardless, the look is nice.

Ordered two. One was perfect. The other had bad paint job on the outside of the pot, with two large areas that looked like someone had tried to rub the paint off. Sadly, the bad spots are on opposite sides, so harder to hide them in the back. Hard to get a good picture, but pretty obvious flaws in the paint. Normally I would return the one with the bad paint, but I need them for a function in two days, so I'll have to keep them. With all that said, the tables are actually nicer than I expected. Heavy, sturdy, nice fitting lid. If they paint had not been flawed, these would have been 5 stars.
