Wow! I feel sorry for the other guys that are drawn to the inferior pits that are offered here. There are a few that match quality materials and style. Very few exceed it though. It is smaller than many other pits however, there are larger cast iron pits but costing much more! Our pit will fit our cozy corner in my garden nicely. The grate is solid and unlike many other pits, it requires a rocket scientist to assemble. So don’t be fooled by the fancy unnecessary add ons , and don’t get attached by the fine finishes offered. You will be replacing both soon enough with your next pit!
Fire pits are supposed to look like this iron pit which will age gracefully and rust won’t claim it any time soon. Buy a cover for 15 bucks and you’re gold. Don’t let an added cover sway you to an inferior piece. Or don’t be led to a pit with a added poker. Use a stick!! If you are looking for a pit that is easy to put together, will look great a long time, is versatile as a cooker and will last a long time with minimal fuss and capital, DUH !!!
