As a soluble solution if you follow the directions there is less chance of over fertilizing and burning the plants. Granular fertilizers can be stronger and burn the plant thru the soil. Package size is comfortable to use and not overly heavy. I recommend the Miracle Grow water soluble all purpose plant food.
