Cheminée au feu de bois Gemmenne

This firepit was beautiful upon opening and it burns beautifully, bringing the smoke up throught the chimney portion and not around the base. However, after using it twice (only twice) the attractive copper appearance turned into a rusting look, giving it the appearnace of a years old firepit left in the yard without care. So sad, as this was a gift.

I absolutely adore the look of copper, so when I was shopping for a chiminea and stumbled on this one, I had to have it. This was one of my first purchases from Wayfair, and I was expecting something to be wrong with something so big and heavy. I was pleasantly surprised that, after the easy assembly, there was only a very small, unnoticeable scrape on the lid. I made sure to read up on "seasoning" the chiminea before using it more extensively. Again, I was surprised that the chiminea fired up as expected with no issues. I think the only small issue I had was some of the paper kindling I used liked to float up through the top opening - I may add some mesh to prevent possible floating embers from escaping. TLDR: if you are in want of a chiminea and like this design, I would highly recommend purchasing it. I certainly have no regrets.

We absolutely love this chiminea! We use it several times a week in the winter. Perfectly warms our patio corner with a beautiful roaring fire.

Bought this for my husband who loves an outdoor fire in the colder weather months. It’s a beautiful copper top and base. Had a little dent inside, but not that big enough for us to have to return. Doesn’t hold large pieces of wood like he bought from the store, so we had to cut them. Overall, it’s just perfect for a small fire.

It had a small dent in it but we kept it the package was torn when we received it.
