I'll share the bad first, the good next! Biggest warning is this is NOT 10x10. It's 10x12. Another warning, DO NOT USE HANDY. We paid for and scheduled a Handy assembly and they cancelled 15 minutes after the appointment started after they had confirmed it that same day about 5 times. Their customer services was insanely horrendous and after that we started googling them and found so many terrible reviews about the same thing happening. They just schedule fake appointments and continually cancel on you. OTHER THAN THAT If you don't mind the 10x12 size and have other options for assembly, this pergola is awesome! We actually ended up assembling it ourselves because we were so frustrated with the whole process. We were able to do it as 2 people over 2 days (only because we ran out of daylight). I think 2 people could easily assemble in 1 day if you had uninterrupted time. The quality was great, nothing was damaged, and the instructions were decent to follow (double check all the details so you don't make a mistake). The hardest part is getting it connected while it's standing up, and putting the roof panels on. After you do about 2 roof panels you'll have it down. The screens and shades work great and zip perfectly fine. Our is bolted into a Trex deck. So far we love it! We've had a few pretty windy days already and had absolutely no problems with the pergola. It's bolted to the deck, but because it has the vent at the top, the wind blows right through.
