Last April, we bought the grey 10 X 12 pergola with the grey retractable cover. Delivery, assembly and use until recently have been great. However, this summer, after only a year of normal use and careful storage, some pieces have drastically faded (see photos). It's like a pale bleu-grey? Perhaps some pieces are missing a coat of primer? Or a protector? In short, we wrote to Wayfair, they were nice, but forwarded us to the company to obtain non-defective replacement pieces, which they refused to do, despite proof of recent purchase and photos clearly indicating that it's not the whole structure that's faded. They said it's been a little more than a year, so they "can't" do anything, sent us a 5% rebate, and that was the end of the discussion. For a $1,000 purchase, a year only later, we are incredibly disappointed by the Purple Leaf's company's lack of common sense regarding the defect in our product. Even a can of paint to fix it ourselves would have honestly been appreciated. We're glad to see, however, that some people have products that hold up.
