The bottom of the mailbox has a defect - in that the bottom “drop zone “ has an area at the back of the box - where it allows the envelopes to slide into it Thus - I’m unsure as to whether or not I need to try to figure out a way to open the bottom to view anything that may have slipped into the “long slit” at the back of the box!!
