Seems sturdy. Wire lid can get deformed but as expected with any wire dome like that. Has sat out in the rain and so far so good, but we haven’t had any fires yet (too hot!).

I read many reviews on this product and part of me was apprehensive based on the ones that were negative. I have to tell you, you can’t go wrong if you’re looking for a very good quality fire pit!! I looked at big box stores, as well as some people in my area that made fire pits. Can’t beat the price for this heavy duty steel!! There was minimal assembly, and every thing fit perfectly. I did not have any of the issues that some folks described with the mounting hardware for the handles. The trick is start the screw by one or two threads on both sides so that it lines up evenly and then tighten. Took me less than 15 minutes to unbox everything and put it together. Can’t wait for my concrete pad to get poured so I can start using it!!
