I chose these chairs based on their positive ratings and the description indicating that they were cushioned. Unfortunately, after assembling just one chair and sitting in it, I found it to be extremely uncomfortable and lacking the support I needed. I have a bad back, so comfort and adequate support are especially important to me. I purchased these specifically because I expected the cushioning to provide the comfort and support described, but unfortunately, that was not the case. It felt hard like I was sitting on a brick. I saw the word padded, but the pad is so thin, I wouldn't even call it padding. It's like sitting on a paper towel thin. Don't get these chairs!

Worked very well with Maine chairs.

These are great chairs for the price. Very comfortable and swivel nicely. They took a hot minute to assemble and a screw falls out randomly now and then but that could be user error. Happy with the purchase!
