I recently purchased an outdoor rattan seating group from Wayfair. The set consisted of 2 swivel chairs with cushions as well as a side table. I am very happy with this purchase.
When we received the box, it was heavy, and it looked like it had been handled roughly. There were gouges and tears in the cardboard. We opened it and inspected the parts thoroughly but found no damage. We separated everything out and organized our parts. Pay attention to the area you assemble in. You will need plenty of space to put things together. During some steps of assembly, it helps to have another person hold the awkward parts steady so fastening can be completed. It came with a small tool kit, and the ratcheting mini side screwdriver is of decent quality, and I plan on retaining it. I did use my own drill on the lowest resistance setting for some parts to speed up the process. If you do use a drill, I suggest starting the screws with the tool provided before tightening them down with the drill to prevent any stripping of the screws and if available set your drill to the lightest resistance setting. There is a separate instruction sheet asking that you not tighten screws until the end of assembly. This is really important. Putting the chairs together was slightly tedious, but only because it’s time consuming not because it’s difficult. Putting the table together was a breeze. The assembly is very basic without excessive parts and did not take very long. The materials are heavy and seem to be good quality. The cushions are firm and very comfortable. The swivel and rocking features are smooth, silent and a nice touch for the outdoor furniture. The side table is very nice looking and sturdy. We spend a lot of time on our covered back porch, and these will be great for company.
I give this set 5 stars with no hesitation. They are a good value for the cost and a pleasure to sit in.
