These chairs took about 2.5 hours to put together. The instructions were okay, however, I ran completely out of “J” screws about 3/4 of the way through assembly. There were also a set of “K” screws, but if you look at the instructions, there are no “K” screws used in the assembly of this product. I am pretty sure there is a typo in the instructions, which made things confusing. I was able to use the “K” in replace of the “J” screws, that they did not include enough of. The other issue, is that these chairs probably needed another coating of black paint, because I can already see rust trying to come through on the surface. I do hope these chairs make it through the winter and I can use them for at least a summer or two.

Well the delivery of the product was very quick. The box was very torn up and did not look well taken care of. That could have been the delivery service. Then when I opened the box a smaller box inside was also torn up and looked like he had been destroyed at one time. it is winter time here in Wisconsin so I will not be assembling the product until the spring. I will be using them outside on my deck. The product does look very sturdy the back chair looks like good metal. The seat is a mesh, the pad is not very thick.I will update pictures and more comments when I put the product out on my deck. It does seem to have a great looking appearance.

The set of two chairs arrived in one box. Assembly was fairly straight forward and may require two people handling a couple bits of the assembly. My husband assembled this alone. They are not very heavy but seem sturdy and love that they swivel. Great classic design that will never go out of style.

Oh my, where do I start First you’re going to need a heavy hammer, a vice, Lots of patience and someone with muscles to assemble these chairs.. NONE of the holes match up! This is the absolute worst item to assemble I ever ever encountered. You can get the first bolt in just fine but you’re going to have to bend and HAMMER the pieces to get the other holes remotely close in order to get another bolt through. (Look at pics to see misalignment). Even on the swivel part that came in assembled is crooked! It will be IMPOSSIBLE to assemble this with an Allen wrench and the two wrenches that come with it. It took me 3 hours of wrestling, hammering, bending and more hammering to get ONE chair together, it’s a set of 2 and I’m unable to put the 2nd one together. It’s not comfortable to sit in either. I will never get anything with the name Medden on it again.

One of these chairs went together without issue, the other chair was bent somehow and just would not let us attach the back screws. My husband had to re-tap the screw hole in order for us to buy new screws that weren't garbage and wouldn't be strippable. Also, after we finally got them put together and we set them on our deck they were rained on once for about 5 minutes and then immediately started to rust. At this price point I do not recommend these chairs at all.
