We installed this pergola over our new upper yard and honestly it's exceeded expectations. The louvered roof is the star of the show — being able to crank the louvers anywhere from fully closed to fully open means we can dial in exactly how much sun or shade we want depending on the time of day. On hot afternoons we close it up for full shade, and in the evening we open it up to let the breeze through. It's a simple hand crank, smooth to operate, and it feels sturdy, not flimsy. The LED strip lights are a great touch too. There are three brightness settings, so we can go from a bright, functional light for dinner outside to a low warm glow for just relaxing at night. The solar charging has kept up fine on sunny days, and it's nice that there's a USB-C backup option for stretches of cloudy weather. Build quality feels solid overall — the metal frame has held up well through wind and rain so far, and the hidden drainage system actually does what it says; no pooling water on top after storms. It looks a lot more high-end than the price suggests. Really happy with this purchase — it's transformed how much we use our yard, day and night.

Purchased the 12x14 version. It was pretty easy to set up once you figure out the instruction. Also came with a video you can watch to help with any confusion Looks great in my opinion.

Very disappointing experience, especially for our first order with Wayfair. We had issues both with the shipping and the product itself. Multiple boxes arrived damaged, and several of the pergola parts were scratched, bent, dented, or defective right out of the box. We dealt with scratched and bent louvers, a dented LED strip, missing drilled holes, and issues with the hydraulic/crank system that required us to troubleshoot and modify parts ourselves just to get it functioning properly. The scratches are still clearly visible after installation, and one louver was so badly bent it could not even be installed. The instructions also had inaccuracies, making assembly much more difficult and time-consuming than expected. While replacement parts are offered, we spent a significant amount of extra time and frustration dealing with issues that should not happen on a brand-new product. For the price and amount of labor involved, we expected much better quality control, packaging, and overall customer service.

I like the pergola but even bolting it to the ground moves a little or is a bit unstable, it’s the 10x20 size, I was hoping for a much sturdy piece.

Overall, very satisfied with the finished product. Took two people to put it together in about two days. I strongly recommend that you read the instructions a few times and watch the installation video to be sure you don't make any mistakes. We installed the end caps on the louvers incorrectly and had to take them apart and reassemble them correctly. I would have given this product 5 stars, but one of the 32 louvers was damaged. Customer service is offering a replacement.
