Been up for a year and screws are falling out, not sturdy. Will be taking it down, waste of money

Great looking pergola with easy to follow instructions. Took two adults about 7 hours to build with breaks in between. We also used the recommended expansion bolts to secure it to our cement patio. The wood is very soft so it does dent and scratch easily while we were building it but it doesnt look bad at all. So far it has not budged even with the high winds we have gotten in Colorado this week. Cant wait for summer to put some plants in the planter boxes.

Edited three years after purchase. Would NOT recommend. Not real cedar, and didn’t even last two years before it started decaying and falling apart in places. Also noticed some insect damage (and this was mounted on a concrete slab, not even touching dirt)

Edit I was fine with the softness of the wood because it still seemed structurally sound but after 1 large wind storm, the whole thing has tilted and now all the beans have giant cracks and the screws have started coming out. Picture attached of the aftermath. I have had this pergola for 1 year. Save your money and buy a better pergola made of hardwood or metal Original So far, no complaints! I’ve had it for almost a year and it’s still standing! I do see a crack in one of the beams but it seems structurally fine for now Overall, I would probably have rather bought one of the metal pergolas that have a shade roof but this was less than half the price

Okay, this is the third glowing review I’ve written about the great experience I had and how pleased I am with the Pagoda. And glad there is a place to share the photos. I must admit I was hesitant ordering from WayFair, so I posted on Nextdoor asking for the experiences of others. All replies with a couple exceptions, were very positive. So I took the dive and called in the order. The woman who took my order was both pleasant and professional. Her name escapes me, but I trust someone will look it up because she deserves special kudos for her excellent attitude. She explained everything, step by step, and that was exactly how it was. The two gentlemen who delivered the product were also efficient, competent and professional. I’d printed the 30 page directions and put them in a three-ring binder. A friend of mine, who is an excellent woodworker, felt it was within his skill level although the directions said we’d need three and a half men to do it. (Remember, fools rush in…….) Day one it was just the two of us. We got as far as photo number four. I was concerned about the next step, so put out a call for help and got one taker. It wasn’t heavy work, but the pieces were long and awkward. They did the main work and I picked up and held screws. I am absolutely delighted with the results and so glad there’s a place to post the photos. Now all I need a cover, so it will be the cherry on the sundae if I win the gift card!!!!!
