The crank mechanism on these umbrellas does not hold up. It won't stay all the way in the open position. I bought 2 last year. I use a velcro band to tie around the pole and crank to hold it in place so it stays open. The design is such that the cloth often comes off the metal arms and the hooks in the middle. Though I do really like the light gray color I bought then, because the new light gray that I bought this year does not look gray at all, more green. I like the size and the lights and like the umbrella. These are just the issues you may have if you buy it.

Not a great umbrella. Looks really good but was easily bent.

Have had this about a year now. It made it through Texas's last, brutal summer in fine shape. I closed it up and stacked it in a corner outside for the winter, and it made it through that, too. I have every expectation it'll make it through this summer just fine. It's sturdy. I especially like that air can pass through it. It's large enough to provide a good amount of shade as the sun moves. Like it very much!
