Be sure to order these waaaay in advance because apparently they start chopping the trees for the lumber only after you’ve ordered them. I ordered them November 4th for Thanksgiving. First week in December they canceled that order and started a new one because I hadn’t received them. I finally got them on January 9th. They are lovely chairs. I give them a B . They need additional sanding where the little piece of wood used for the join isn’t flush with the chair - it would be very uncomfortable for someone in shorts or it would rip a dress. These come assembled and stacked. They are solid, easy to stack and unstack, level and otherwise very nice chairs but for what I paid, I wanted them in a more reasonable amount of time and to be nicely sanded. Great straight back, not for lounging - good for posture.

After a week's work I got the chairs into the condition I expected, Fill voids, sand sharp corners, re-glue and clamp arms, seal with teak sealer. Quality truly was terrible, if I could rate a (0) l would. The manufacturer of the chairs is Teak Smith and they were made in Indonesia. I've purchased other chairs (also made in Indonesia) from Ash & Ember that are head and shoulders better, a great product. Teak Smith should hire a quality control department that knows what they are doing.
