I'm using this by placing it over a rotted out metal bird bath. So I'm still using the base from the old one and this is definitely a substantial bowl. It's not thin at all. Birds took to it in about 2 days. My only negative for this is that I wish the bottom of the bowl was flat. It curves all the way to the center.

I was looking for birdbath bowl for front yard to tuck in the plants and provide a water source. I got the white/brown and it worked well. It is plastic but doesn't look cheap. I added a solar fountain too. Other people noted the middle has some marks, sems to be where round base is that might fit on some pedestal base bottoms.

I love this, perfect size and weight. Made use of my old garden urn as a bird bath pedestal and now have a beautiful conversation piece and place for the birds to fly in for a sip or bath. Love this addition to my small garden.
