Dull and unevenly prepped for sharpness but workable eventually. The problem is in the handle. It’s ergonomically difficult to use due to the angles of the blade and handles. The connection of the two halves is super wobbly and the handles are super flimsy and don’t stay in place.

Not worth $10. Within 5 minutes the wood handle snapped and the blade bent to 90 degree making it unusable. Would make for a great Halloween prop but it is metal. Albeit metal from the cheapest cookie sheet you could ever find but metal nonetheless, it could be dangerous as a prop. Will see if I can return it. Worst item I have ever purchased on Wayfair by far.

Blade was insanely low quality: it literally FOLDED first within seconds when it came into contact with grass. If you want it as a Halloween Prop, it might be OK, but even then it might fold if you bump into something. If you want a garden tool to actually, oh, I don't know, say... cut grass, then this is NOT the tool for you.
