It is definitely darker than the photos show, more of a very dark gray. I assume it will fade some to a lighter gray, similar to what is show. FYI - you will need to pre-purchase a 4x10, to cut in half. These will be used to place in holes dug roughly 36 inches deep and set in concrete. Hopefully that saves someone else a trip. Otherwise a good buy.

Great product. Very well made and easy to install! We painted it to match the new trim and it looks great. Wonderful addition to the front of our home!

Very disappointed in this item. Ordered and installed it and within days the wood split and cracked requiring a fairly extensive repair.

It looks beautiful however, a day after installing while sitting on the patio heard a loud crack. One side has two long deep cracks at the bottom (can’t tell if all the way through). At the top of both posts there are two long cracks (not as deep as the base). Not very happy with the amount of money spent.
