Does not put out nearly as much heat as described. OK if you are directly under lamp, I mean directly under, not to one side. Used it under my gazebo on my deck so it was in a sheltered place. Quit working after the first year after moderate use. Pull chain would not turn on heater. Ended up in the garbage can.

1-star for the heat output. 2-stars for the overall look. I have a second floor balcony in Indianapolis, IN. I bought this in an attempt to utilize my space on cold days and nights. I love the look but will need a different product. The lamp hangs from an 8ftx5ft grill gazebo. I can only feel mild heat on my head if I’m standing up but not if I’m sitting in the chairs directly under it. It came with a chain. So I may have to lower it to dining height for better results. But I didn’t want to do that because of the risk of bumping into it. I’m afraid someone will get burned if it’s too low. The light it gives off at night is extraordinary. If you need a light fixture this is a win. If you need warmth...keep looking.
