I'm not sure you'd feel the heat if sitting a few feet away, but it's great for cool days sitting next to it outside. It does put out a lot of heat. Heavy and sturdy.

Very nice heater. It was easy to put together and puts out a good amount of heat. I like to sit on our porch and with the nights get chilly this heater is letting me sit outside much later. Update on 652025. Well this was a very nice heater until it wasn’t. Unfortunately it just stopped working just over 7 months. Go figure there is only a 6 month warranty. I called Wayfair customer service and although they were very nice they could not do anything to help out of warranty. So it is a throw away item.

It works not only as a heater, but I can read my book. We love it.

Great heat source to take chill off early morning coffee on porch! On chair side table, lamps look exactly as pictured and beautiful like reading lamp with each chair when approaching our home from the street. Highly recommend but if you are looking for a significant heat source in an open outdoor area, these are not likely a great choice. For closed areas or a source of good warmth (not heat), these are perfect!!
