This sickle does not have an offset blade. This means that your hand must be close to the ground in use rendering it difficult to get the blade close to the ground. The appears to be only pressure fit to the handle. The blade also is rather short. I found an alternative online that has an offset blade, with the blade riveted to the handle, and a longer sweeping arch making for more efficient cutting.
