I really like this sunshade. The color is nice and the hardware for putting it up is sturdy. It might be nice to use some tent poles to take it to the beach or a peak. I’m using in my yard but it would also be great for portable shade!!. Amanda. Stuart, FL. Thu Oct 15 2026

It's great quality and the color matches, however I didn't measure correctly and ordered a size too small. Unfortunately it won't work for the area we need but that is no fault of my own. Re-ordered same brand just a bigger size.. Candace. Saint Petersburg, FL. Tue Jun 02 2026

This shade sail is made of a thick but flexible material that should provide just the right amount of protection from the sun without being a total "sunblock" (or completely waterproof) and the reinforced attachment points on the sail seem sufficiently strong. I haven't yet installed it, but the included kit appears to be very comparable to the separate installation kit I ordered just in case the included kit was flimsier or more difficult to use. This particular brand of sail offered a lot of different size options, which is ideal if you are looking for a sail to fit a space with unequal distances between the triangle points. The sail I ordered measures 20' x 20' x 28.3'. it came with a installation hardware kit but I can't yet comment on whether the hardware kit works well. I also ordered another hardware kit in case I needed a different installation option than the one included. Unfortunately, Wayfair said it delivered both when I never received the additional hardware kit. After waiting 3 days to see if there was a problem with how the item was scanned, I have reported the missing delivery and hope that I will receive that other installation kit so that I can choose which kit will work better for installing the sai.. Really happy with this shade sail! The red color looks great and adds a nice touch. The material feels really durable and well-made, and the 13 x 10 ft size provides plenty of space. Quality is really good. Currently using indoors and works great, will be moving it outside soon.. Almir. Tue Oct 20 2026

We absolutely love it. We designed a social area for our cabin guests to use and this is a perfect cover for rain and sun without having to get something custom made.. Kateri. Cherry Creek, NY. Sat Aug 15 2026

We got this for our pool to try and make it stay a little cooler by blocking out some sun. My husband had to make the poles to assemble it. It’s a pretty decent weight and does provide partial shade. It does also come with hardware.. Michelle. Woodstown, NJ. Sat Jun 13 2026

Packaging was great! It arrived safely with all of the materials for install. I don’t have all of the shade sail poles for mounting it yet, but I will update once it is hung! Definitely seems very durable and the sizing is accurate.. Nay. US. Thu Apr 09 2026

Très satisfait, merci !. Susan. Beauharnois, QC. Sun Jun 11 2023

this is a replacement for an older shade. Found the eyelets to be superior in this Royal unit but have not had time to install but from inspection the stitching is the key. I can tell immediately we will be able to stretch firmer. While the fabric is thiner, it will provide a better solution and the mounting hardware is all there.. Rick. La Quinta Ca. Mon Nov 03 2025

Easy for protecting our outdoor kitchen grill area for almost a year. A recent rainstorm resulted in some strong winds and it split the sunshade in two. Hope to order another sunshade soon and wonder if this one is under warranty. Eve. Indialantic, FL. Sat Aug 02 2025

Perfect wall screen for your outdoor tent at events. Visually you can still see out, while letting the breeze in and controlling the heat from the sun inside your tent. Could also use this on fence lines or an overhead sunshade.. Tracie. Charleston, SC. Wed Aug 12 2026

I needed some shade for the car with the heat this year. I have purchased shade sails from WAYFAIR in past years. The awning arrived intact and we are in the process of completing this project: painting posts with tops and using dacron line with clips we can remove it for tropical storms/hurricanes. The color and fabric match what I have for other awning/shade sails. Thank-you.. Karen. Avon Park, FL. Tue Jun 30 2026

Not enough hardware when I ordered it looked like there was a lot more hardware there. I’m missing. I have to order two.. Michael. Lakewood, CO. Thu Aug 06 2026

Installed this rectangular shade sail over our back patio and its made a huge difference — covers our seating area and the kids play space, and cuts the afternoon sun noticeably. The browntaupe color looks good against our house and doesnt show dirt like lighter colors would.. Christine. Chula Vista, CA. Mon Aug 31 2026

Purchased to provide shade my patio plants from the sun. Prior to purchase my plants were getting sunburned and drying out quickly. As you can see by the pictures, the patio trees are flourishing. The color and quality of the sail was spot on. I did not tighten the sail completely yet. I was giving it about a month to stretch allowing for a taunter fit.. Janet. Merced, CA. Fri Sep 04 2026

Perfect shade sail for keeping our chickens covered and cooler during the summer heat. You do have to buy the hooksinstallation kit separately and we are waiting for that to arrive so we can properly hang it up. Currently we are using screws and it is still working. We had some bad weather the other day and it held up great! Overall, we are very happy!. Erin. US. Sat Jul 04 2026

I ordered 16 x 16 Royal Shade square sail. There is a nice collection of different sizes and this size is perfect for the area we need to shade from the hot sun. I like how the shade has a two tone color scheme and the weave is just perfect to let the breeze through. The hardware is very sturdy and looks well made too. Very nice.. Mary. Charles Town, WV. The Royal Shade Rectangle Waterproof Shade Sail from Wayfair is a practical and modern solution for creating instant outdoor coverage. The rectangular shape gives clean lines overhead, making patios, backyards, and pool areas feel more structured and intentional. The waterproof fabric is a standout feature. It’s designed to provide protection from both sun and light rain, which adds versatility beyond standard shade cloths. The material feels durable and substantial, built to withstand outdoor exposure when installed properly with the included hardware kit and ropes. Installation hardware being included is a major convenience. It allows for a more secure, tensioned setup, which is important for stability and proper water runoff. Once installed, it creates a sleek canopy effect that elevates an outdoor space without the bulk of a traditional pergola or umbrella. Overall, it’s a streamlined, functional option for adding shade and weather protection while maintaining a clean, modern aesthetic outdoors.. Naza. CA. Thu Aug 06 2026

Seems to be quite adorable and the hardware kid is extremely helpful. I would advise using the wire cord to put these up as opposed to any kind of rope or string... Kevin. TX. Thu Sep 10 2026

I finally put it up! I love the color, its my favorite! I can say that the material is super resistant, very strong, and good quality. Its not as big as I expected, but I love it. Recommended for small spaces.. Maribel. Cleona, PA. Tue Oct 06 2026

Nicely made sail. I just wish it would let water through it so when it rains, it does not weigh it down. Otherwise it’s great!. Marthaddad. Purvis, MS. Thu Sep 04 2025

This shade sail made a huge difference to our backyard area! We needed more shade and this helped tremendously. The parts included weren’t as good as we’ve used in the past but they got the job done.
