A steady swaying motion combined with layered lighting can turn a familiar figure into something more immersive, and the Haunted Hill Farm 5ft 11in Animated Zombie Animatronic with Lantern uses that balance to create a strong visual and atmospheric presence. When sound activated, the zombie’s body sways from side to side in a controlled, lifelike motion that enhances animated Halloween decorations and adds movement to haunted house decor. Red LED eyes glow sharply while yellow lighting from the lantern adds a secondary focal point, improving visibility and reinforcing the graveyard-inspired setting in darker environments.
The animatronic delivers multiple spoken phrases, including extended lines such as “I’ve been saving this plot for someone just like you…,” supported by eerie background sounds and maniacal laughter that create a layered, narrative-driven interaction. This combination of motion, lighting, and dialogue gives the figure a more immersive presence compared to simpler props, making it effective as both a focal point and storytelling element.
Standing approximately 6 feet tall, it works well in entryways, yard displays, or indoor haunted scenes where guests approach. Battery-operated (4 AA, not included), it includes a stand, stakes, poles, a try-me button, and setup components for stable placement and straightforward assembly.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I go crazy for Halloween since my birthday follows just a few days behind, and our decorations are legendary at my annual Halloween/birthday party. The animatronics are always some of my favorites! That's why I was STOKED to test a free Haunted Hill Farm Animated Zombie Animatronic from Influenster. I chose the zombie because the legless design creates a cool, floating effect that adds to the spookiness while still being "life size" and impressive.
This decoration is taller than me at 5.9 feet, but is lightweight and easy for me to move around. It was also pretty simple for me (a petite but handy lady) to assemble by myself. Everything fit together well, although I did have to figure out on my on that some of the holes had pins that needed to be removed in order for the pieces to fit: this was not mentioned anywhere in the assembly instructions, and probably should have been. I'm still not sure if I'm meant to put those back in afterwards or not.
The final assembled product looks really cool, and works well. I love that his lantern and eyes light up! This also has twisting movement in the torso and sound. I can't quite tell if the effects are motion or sound powered but I can say that my dogs LOVE to bark at him and make him talk!
Unlike the other animatronics I own, this guy is battery powered, which allows for more flexible placement: I actually think I prefer having the wall plug, though, as batteries are one more thing for me to keep track of when I go to put away my decorations for the season. It does work well and get a lot of use on a single set of batteries, though!
Other than the mildly confusing assembly instructions and the lack of an AC power adapter, the only downside to this guy is stability. His twisting motion causes the animatronic to rock back and forth pretty dramatically if you don't put sandbags or something to weigh down the base. This does come with lawn staples that would work well outside, but it's only rated for covered outdoor use; in my area, which gets regular rainfall, I would not have this decor outside long enough to staple him down, if at all.
I wish the actual base was heavier to avoid the stability issue entirely, and I also would really love to see this be waterproof enough to be used outdoors in all conditions. Otherwise, it's a really cool piece of decor that has a big impact! It isn't exactly cheap, but definitely provides a lot of bang for your buck in terms of building spooky atmosphere. This guy will feature in our household Halloween decor for years to come!. Jessicav. Thu Oct 15 2026
