Although the paint job isn't the greatest, it won't show because the food will cover it up. Plus, I don't think the critters really care...as long as the feeder is kept filled! The feeder is of solid construction, it's beautiful, both by day and night. To fill it, simply pop out the solar cap--took a couple minutes to figure that out.
